What is Polyester?
When we talk about polyester, it is a formation of polymers. It belongs to the category of polymers which has ester functional group in each repeated unit of its main chain. It has an ester functional group. It most frequently refers to a type of substance known as polyethylene terephthalate as a specific material (PET). Polyesters are made from synthetic materials like polybutyrate as well as naturally occurring compounds found in plants and insects. The natural polyesters and some synthetic ones in this material are biodegradable.
